Zelda Treasure Chest

PHYSICAL COMPUTING | ARDUINO

Zelda Secret Treasure Chest is an Arduino powered chest that requires users to find the secret method of unlocking it by reading the provided clue. When unlocked, the chest plays the treasure chest theme from the Zelda franchise.

This project features a controlled commercial electromagnetic security lock and sensor components as well as a piezo for sound. The chest was reclaimed and repurposed from the garbage and restored for this project as per my design goal to reuse as many materials as possible during my tenure at Parsons.

This project was also featured at Parsons MFADT Playtech in November of 2015, images above.

This project was created for my Creativity & Computation lab in the first semester of my MFA Design + Technology program at Parsons, The New School for Design
