Thoughts about technology while on train

I’ve been reading the “Rainbow’s End” book for class, and kept going passed our assignment because it is so so so interesting. I was thinking about it and Imagined Realities on the train today.

It keeps coming back to me that we want to see our imagination sometimes, to experience in our sensory world, not metaphorical or insubstantial.

We keep building tech to get us closer and closer to this, but I wonder if we’ll just end up in other people’s imaginations, a privileged class of those good enough to create them… Will we be left even worse off then when we could keep our dreams on our heads…
